Welcome to the Parish of the St. John the Baptist

The Parish of St. John the Baptist, Normanton, has a long and noble history and one which inspires pride and gratitude in it’s parishioners.
It is a parish community rooted in the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Seven Sacraments and the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With the Lord Jesus Christ at the centre of our Church and Community we strive to share Him and His Good News with others in the great variety of our vocations. We often fail to live out the call given to us in Holy Baptism, but failure is never problem to the Lord Who can do extraordinary things with the most ordinary of people and situations. We are sinners, but more importantly we are forgiven sinners and this truth brings joy and peace.

The Lord came that we may ‘have life and have it to the full’ and that life is strengthened and sustained by His Grace given so freely in the Sacraments and family of the Church.

Are you feeling increasingly compelled to spend time with Jesus? Do you find that your time is spent seeking him and all things connected with him?
